Eric Fleischmann, a partner in Leete, Kosto & Wizner, LLP, spoke at a seminar focusing on immigration and employment law offered by Sterling Education Services on September 10, 2013.

The full-day seminar, entitled Hot Topics in Labor & Employment Law was held in East Hartford, Connecticut. Attorney Fleischmann provided an overview of Immigration laws and procedures, discussing basic immigration concepts and terms, temporary visas, permanent visas, and citizenship. He also discussed the hiring and retention of foreign workers, employer compliance with laws relating to the employing foreign nationals, and the current process for verifying work eligibility under the Immigration Reform and Control Act.
